About
I am a graduate of University of Maryland, Eastern Shore and a Doctoral graduate of Creighton University. I have attended 5 schools and taught at 2, so I love March Madness. I also played football at the University of Richmond. In my 30+ years I have worked primarily in out patient orthopedics, but I have also worked in a variety of other settings including my first job at an acute care hospital and some home health. At one point I specialized in facial paralysis and now have a lot of experience with hypermobility disorders. With a strong passion for education, I have been a professor for a physical therapy assistant program and have taught continuing education to health care professionals in the US and in Europe. Some of my advanced training includes myofascial release, joint mobilization, Strain/Counter-strain, Muscle Energy Technique, Cranio-sacral, visceral mobilization, lymph drainage, Neural Tissue Tension Technique, biofeedback, motor nerve conduction velocity testing, activation, trigger point dry needling, neuromuscular reeducation, and Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT®). In my spare time I like to exercise and enjoy my children.
