Meet Mona
Mona has 20+ years of experience in Naturopathic Health and Nutrition across the US and Europe. She holds a BSc in Exercise Physiology from the University of Munich, an MSc in Health Fitness Management and Nutrition from American University in WD and an MSc in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dublin, Ireland.
Mona’s journey in Natural Health began with a love for all things nutrition, a search for good health, and a passion to transform people’s lives for the better. Her compassion stems from her own life’s journey. Mona struggled with numerous ailments, starting with an eating disorder in my teens, years of chronic dieting and weight gain (I probably own every diet book printed!), and ended up with heavy metal toxicity that kick-started my autoimmune thyroid condition and chronic fatigue. In 1998 she suffered a traumatic brain injury, which drove her into research and experimentation on how to restore brain health and brain function without the use of medication. Alzheimer’s is also a big concern in my family and having witnessed the deaths of several family members due to this terrible disease, Mona is highly motivated to keep my brain healthy. She eats well, exercises, and minds her stress. Although she still struggles with sleep, she lives to the best of her ability.
Over the past 20 years, Mona has helped many clients navigate their own personal health struggles and to find balance and healing in their lives. She experiences joy and satisfaction as a natural health coach, educator, and health practitioner. It’s what she is called to do. Her strongest desire is to empower clients to become their own best health advocates. No one knows you better than you! She can help you to take charge of your life, educate you to have the best understanding of your own health and what you can do to heal. It is her great desire to instill hope and a deep understanding of the innate ability of your body to heal anything. She has witnessed countless miracles throughout her years of working with clients. Simple changes in nutrition and lifestyle, a positive, kind, gentle approach to life, can bring about life-changing transformation.
Mona is blessed with 3 wonderful children, all born in Ireland. Two of them still live there, so once a year she journeys to Ireland and Germany to touch base with family and friends.
Mona is not a particularly good cook, but she loves healthy REAL food and has learned several tricks to make quick, easy delicious meals without spending hours in the kitchen. Mona enjoys reading recipes more than cooking them!
Mona loves and is so proud of the team at Total Health Nutrition Center. Everyone has very diverse backgrounds and brings an exciting set of skills to the client base. The team collaborates and supports each other, and regularly brainstorms difficult client cases together.
In addition to nutritional consultations, the team has a variety of modalities available, to help people take back their health. Neurofeedback is an amazing tool to improve brain health and restore healthy brain wave function. The Blue Opal machine supports the client’s healing using frequency therapy.
